Dear members of the Slovenian Society for Gastroenterology and Hepatology (SAGH) and invitees, we would like to inform you that the Alpe-Adria-Donava (AAD) Congress will take place in Brdo pri Kranju from October 20th to 21st, 2023, organized by SAGH and the section of medical nurses and technicians (SSMS and ZT) in endoscopy and gastroenterology.

The congress aims to provide updates on the latest developments in gastroenterology, hepatology, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and abdominal surgery. The achievements of Slovenian physicians in this field will be presented.

We invite all interested parties to actively participate and submit abstracts in a timely manner.

The meeting is international with invited lecturers from the United States, United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, and neighboring regions.

In addition to lectures, endoscopic workshops will be organized, and practical examples from daily practice with a focus on digestive diseases will be presented. The meeting is open to all members of both societies (SAGH and SSMS and ZT), family doctors, and interested specialists from other fields. Our colleagues from neighboring countries will also invited to attend.

Meeting will be held in English.

Important dates:

• March 1st, 2023: First announcement of the AAD meeting on the society’s websites (www.szgh.si).
• April 10th, 2023: Publication of the preliminary meeting program and determination of the registration method as an active participant, listener, or workshop participant.
• June 26th, 2023: Second announcement and call for registration for the congress with the option to reserve transportation and accommodation.
• September 15th, 2023: Final program with the publication of accepted abstracts and a call for registration for the congress with the option to reserve transportation and accommodation.
• October 20–22, 2023: AAD Congress at Brdo pri Kranju.
